KK under a silent siege

I went to the cinema just now, around 2pm, for a movie and I was in a hurry but there was no sort of transportation around, so I took the bus 15 minutes before the movie started. Walking down the streets’ scenes made me wondered much, am I at the wrong street or my eyes were just playing dumb on me. I was looking around while hanging on a constant speed walk to see that our city is silently under siege by ‘those people’, you know who. I feel like I’ve just got back from a holiday trip somewhere around Manila or might probably be Indonesia. I don’t know. I’m not being racist here, the situation forced me to think so.

The reason I hate Sunday the most is because of the over populated places and the crowd, as much as I hate centre point. Why? Go down there and take a 5 minutes stand, you’ll know what I mean. Took the lift with a bunch of people. I was out numbered in all sense, not just by the color of my t-shirt but also, the pack and their language. I know where that accent came from, for sure. A chinese couple was hunging each other tight for no reason to explain, or let just say … security. I’m not pointing finger to others but it scared the hell out of everyone.

Took off to Kopitiam and felt…Ok, somewhere safe, but outside, with all the dresses, bad image, the hair, the shouting and all.. I could just sigh. What becomes this state? I look around to see for the local, where have they gone? Minum tapai? hah!! Nice. It’s about time that people are starting to open their eyes and mind to these kind of issues, and the latest was the kidnapping stunt, so that we are more aware to the problems we are facing now. With all the PTIs, economic unbalance and our polluted culture, we need to stand for it, friends!! There is no where safe anymore. We are out numbered in all fronts. Wake up from that deep sleep.

Rain poured like cats and dogs, so I took the time to monitor much of the outside world. Not much to boast about. Hey, look!!! It’s the PTIs!!! Oh, sorry… a long debated issue but what has happened to our so called POLIS yang berkhidmat untuk negara? Why not tangkap them? Ohh.. source of pocket money arr? TRAITORS!!! Speaking of one, I’ve been so unlucky once that my wallet was stolen and I reported it at a nearby police station. Luckily for me, a few days later, my friend saw the thief and asked me to bring along the police so that I can get back my ID card, ATM cards and all. So I went to get the police but guess what THE BIG BOSS said to me??

He said to forget about my wallet already .. no use to put the guy in custody and continued to chitchat about the new ride his colleague bought. I was so pissed off, ended up calling them pigs. That was the end of my respect for this law enforce pigs.

Back to the story, I went to Wisma Budaya for the bus and guess what happened? A bunch of om pare pare was fighting and cursing each others claiming the crown of the strong. I was like, wohoo..I’m telling you all, if this kind of events continue to happen from time to time, forming the ugly culture and influences, I bet there will be no safe zone in KK. All is left for us will be regrets.

So I took the bus, pondering much and write down what lies inside to share with all my fellow friends, together to be aware…it’s okey with just a little bit of awereness, on the current ugly face of this tiny little city called Kota Kinabalu.
